What is SDL Trados?

Is it similar to a word processor like Microsoft Word but with the foreign language dictionaries added to aid translation? What are the benefits using it compared to Word which also has spelling check functions for different languages?

SDL Trados is a Translation Software (The best in the market), that lets you translate with less effort and has many excellent features such as a Translation Memory which keeps in its memory everything you translate; this is of great help for future translations, specially if it is for the same client.
