roof rails

The roof rails are the basic supports for transporting items on the roof. With their help the vehicle can be used in a variety of ways when the interior has already been filled. Suitable accessories can be attached to the roof rails to attach bicycles, skis, storage boxes, surfboards and even boats securely.

Because the rails themselves are aerodynamically shaped, they do not generate wind noise. The owner’s manual for the car contains information about maximum loads they can carry. The driver must remember that the handling characteristics of the car can be changed significantly depending on the weight of the load on the roof. Apart from their practical uses, the roof rails are also an attractive design element that emphasize the car’s sporty character and thereby round out the dynamic appearance of many Audi models.
