Silk Market

Also known as Silk Street and Silk Street Market, the Silk Market is home to over 1,700 retail vendors and located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. Visitors can buy a wide variety of apparel, fashion accessories, hats, handbags, shoes, silk fabrics, traditional Chinese trinkets, and much more. Visitors can also bargain with the vendor owner to lower the price of the item.

The original Silk Market was located in Xiushui Dongjie. It was a shopping alley consisting of over 400 stalls. In 2005, the alley was closed for demolition and the new Silk Market was opened in its current location.

The Silk Market is notorious for their wide selection of counterfeit designer bags and apparel. The market conducted reforms to regulate trademark infringements.
